SEC 08 HeaderDo You Know Who You're Hiring?
You would never ask a stranger to make a bank deposit or pick your kids up from school, right? Why then would you open up your business (and the clients you serve) to a new employee without doing a thorough background check? Hiring someone whose credentials don't check out or who has a criminal record could make employers liable should an employee's misconduct lead to a criminal or civil lawsuit.
